Everyone knows Kylie Jenner is the queen bee when it comes to celebrity beauty moguls. The 20-year-old even appeared on the cover of WWD with the caption “Billion-Dollar Baby?” due to the massive success of her beauty company, Kylie Cosmetics. With her Kyshadows, stunning Kylighters and long-lasting lip kits, the reality TV star has women around the world running to her line for their beauty needs.
With all this success, Kylie Jenner sat pretty on the throne of celebrity beauty moguls… until Bad Girl Riri AKA Rihanna showed up!
Rihanna launched her own beauty brand named Fenty Beauty, after the “Diamond” singer and her products sold out fast. Her collection contains 40 shades of matte foundation, 30 shades of makeup sticks, and 6 highlighter shades. The line takes into consideration, ‘women of color’ with its many shades and that has women of other races celebrating.
According to Rihanna, “In every product, I was like, ‘There needs to be something for a dark-skinned girl, there needs to be something for a real pale girl, there needs to be something in between. You want people to appreciate the product and not feel like, ‘Oh that’s cute, but it only looks good on her.'”
Rihanna had a launch party in Brooklyn for her beauty products where she appeared, shining bright in all yellow, with a billion-dollar smile on her face. She told E! News reporter, Catt Sadler…
“I want women all over the world to feel great. We are women and we have challenges. We deserve to feel beautiful I want women of all shades to feel included, and all races and all cultures to be a part of this. That’s really what was important to me when choosing the shades and how many we were going to make, especially with the foundations.”
We understand Riri’s intentions with her beauty line but it forces the question “Is she going for Kylie’s crown?”
